  • This is a great way to organize your files. There is an Automator script that will automatically populate your Spotlight comments field with tags. (or keywords if you will). Or if you're a Quicksilver user, you can use this tip. These techniques have changed the way I access files.

  • One more feature that I'd like, which I've posted about elsewhere, is the ability to export chat logs in some sort of official capacity. A basic model of this is as follows: Select your inpoint, select your outpoint, and then select any lines of chat you want to exclude.

  • I actually like the way digg.com handles this: when submitting a story, the system automatically searches for possible similar or duplicate stories. On Newsvine, this might be even better as we have the great virtue of tags.

  • It will be interesting to see what happens once Newsvine goes public. Indeed. There is already a lot of interest in the chat feature, but with a bigger user base, this will really kick off.
